Designer Rhodium Cufflinks

A lot of cufflinks these days are plated by rhodium, which is a member of the platinum group. It is a hard silvery white and durable metal that is highly reflective and does not corrode.

Rhodium is a good alternative to platinum and silver as it is cheaper and shines as well as platinum.

There are many rhodium cufflinks available in the market. All you have to do is look around for them.

What happened to Lily the Liverbird???

Occasionally, I would check out my fellow Liverpudlian, Lily's blog at http://lilytheliverbird.blogspot.com. In fact, I have even made a comment or two.... but since I am ever so tied up with all sorts of things in my life, I have not visited her blog for a few months.

I tried to visit today but to my surprise, she has made the blog private and now I need to be invited to read her rantings! But she did not say how one gets invited. Well, maybe she did before it went private but I did not read the posting.

Now, I am deprived of her funny and witty blog entries :( and Liverpool's crappy form of late is not helping much either :((

Can someone help me get invited to her blog... please...

TOLONG!!!! HELP!!!

Asia is the next big market for cufflinks...

The French brought us cufflinks... but who actually wears them?

From my years of experiences selling cufflinks, I have found that while US and Europe still makes up the biggest portion of my sales, the Asian percentage is rising fast.

Given the sheer size of population in Asia, I wouldn't be surprise if that region overtakes the US and Europe in the future. Nevertheless, I don't think it will happen anytime soon.

Mother of What?!!

Mother of Pearl aka Nacre is a composite of minerals that is secreted by mollusks or shellfishes such as abalones, mussels and oysters. This composite of minerals are deposited inside the mollusks' shell - serving to coat and protect the creatures' bodies from parasites and foreign objects.

Some past cultures regard the colorful nature of mother of pearl to be attractive and use them to create jeweleries.

In today modern times, we use mother of pearl to create jeweleries like earrings, pendant and cufflinks.

Mother of pearl from different mollusks have different colors.

For example, mother of pearl from abalone have a greenish color to it as shown here:

Whereas, mother of pearl from oysters will give a whitish flavor to the cufflinks:

Superheroes

One of my favorite superheroes of all time is Batman. I find Batman to be very different from most other superheroes in that he is actually human, as opposed to others that have supernatural powers.

Batman's strength comes mainly from his gadgets instead of any supernatural powers.

If I could invent a gadget for Batman, it would be that of a pair of cufflinks that can create ultrasonic sounds.

For those of you who are not aware, bats actually use ultrasonic sounds for navigation. Ultrasonic sounds are sounds above 20kHz.

The cufflinks would create ultrasonic sounds to call swarms of bats to assist our superhero when he needs them.

Wouldn't that be cool?!!
